E o carinha do NewView? morreu?

E ai Condor, quais as primeiras impressões?
I've flown a few missions and overall the impression is good with a few minor issues.
The first things of notice for me was:
The sim runs very well with maxed out settings on my 2.5 year old PC. Only major graphics issue is, that it takes a few seconds to load all objects onto screen, and it has to load the planes' skin all the time when switching between views (same as in RoF but with noticably longer load time)
The graphics are generally nice, though there are few things that make you go "Wow! Haven't seen that before in a sim". The most remarkable are propably the different reflections on different materials, the sun glinting in little scratches in the canopy glass and the realistic portrayal of tracks in the snow. The best thing about the graphics though is that it's all very well balanced and all the different kinds of objects and textures fit well together with nothing really sticking out (like RoF but very unlike ClOD)
The airfields look GREAT with loads of stuff going on and literally hundreds of static objects. Even though there isn't a single human in sight, you get the impression of a busy airfield.
The engine sound and sound of the wind is really great and overpowers everything else most of the time (as it should) Most other sounds are kinda underwhelming, though some may be placeholders.
While the landscape is nothing to get too excited about, it basically looks like you'd expect a completely snow covered landscape to look, it is very well realised and realy looks icy cold.
LOD seems to work as well as it does in RoF and you get the sense, that you'd be able to spot and ID objects at a fair distance.
Ground handling is TOUGH and seems just a tad too sensitive to me (but I might be wrong, I've never taxied a plane) with loads of inertia that makes it necessary to plan any ground maneuver well in advance. There is close to zero steering authority without significant airflow over the rudder, which creates kind of a paradox, when you throttle up too fast and start ground looping, but can't steer if you throttle down again. The onte thing that's not a problem is nosing over, the LaGG seems to sit firmly on its ass.
The flight physics are as good or better than RoF. There are too many little details to sum up, but it all makes you really feel like you're flying. I'd like to mention the way the controls stiffen at high speeds and lose effectiveness at low speeds, which feels completely different from one another. You definately have no "on rails" sense here, the plane is NOT automatically going the direction, where you point the nose.
The LaGG is a peculiar plane with a lot of character but very sensitive to piloting errors. Despite the tremendous noise of the engine it definately feels underpowered, I have yet to execute a succesful loop. She handles well in the rolling plane and actually feels kinda nimble (though with no other planes to compare it to, it's hard to tell). She's not particularly directionally stable and takes a while to settle after violent maneuvers. She spins readily and with little warning but not viciously and recovery is straightforward. Even the simplest maneuvers take a lot of coordination, as the likes to dip her nose in even a slight bank. She'll be a handful but definately interesting to use in combat.
Much of the damage model is still obvious placeholder. Crashing your plane results in nothing but a weak exploding sound and your plane model disappearing in a small cloud of smoke and fire. The propeller shows no damage when dipped into the ground, and most of the "crashing" sounds seem to be missing.
Interface is nice enough and RoF players will feel somewhat at home, but it's still very basic and seems bare.
Those are my initial impressions.
Generally I would say, that BoS seems to deliver what I'd expect (and I expect a lot). I'm kinda disappointed, that the DM is still far from being finished, as it was the aspect of the sim, I looked the most forward to see, but it'll all come in good time. What is there is really good and runs well.

SLI causa queda no desempenho - testar no modo "window".
Deixem o AAA em controlado pelo aplicativo.
Outras dicas.
- If you have a dual GPU setup and experience FPS problems, try the windowed mode to see if it helps (did for me).
- Note the marker for buttons with two functions bound to them in the controls menu. These may cause very peculiar problems if you're not careful.
- To get brakes working on the LaGG you need to bind the "Wheel brakes" option, separate left and right brakes don't work.
- During takeoff, make sure you have prop pitch set to fine (high percentage). Coarse pitch causes a lot of torque but minimal propwash for the rudder.
- Apparently trimming doesn't work currently.
- If you invert an axis and it now goes only from 50% to 100% or from 0% to 50%, restart the game.

Furias,

Tchiiiiiiiiii.
A quick set up everything. Including the mission flight box, the complexity - all except the engine management. Take off and sat down without any problems. Tried to take off and land on the one side of the runway - wings broke off on landing) aircraft, however, on the move, the flaps are working. I decided to fly without wings. Accelerates at the end of the strip - 140. No matter, I continue to overclock without both wings of the field. Speed and 190 .... Disengage! Take off with the flaps fully released in the absence of both wings was possible. However, typing 15-20 meters fell on his side, but if I worked more closely rudder would rise above ... I do not know if it's possible IRL, I'm sorry the video yet ... Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow will be able to - try to gently break the wings on the strip and repeat with the record ...

O resto testei au pasant, no coments
