IL2 4.10 MDS - Moving dogfight server

Developed independently by one of DT members with remote support of our team.

Some might know/use this already but for those that are unfamiliar with it, MDS (Moving Dogfight Server) is meant to enrich players online experiences. Originally, IL2 Dedicated Server does not provide usage of AI controlled units. Only cooperative game mode gives you that. But MDS changes this. And adds few extra things. To sum it up:

- add AI controlled units to your missions
- set up simple or advanced Fog of War conditions for your briefing and minimap screens
- limit your plane setups on your home bases (plane numbers, plane loadouts)
- limit selectable countries on your home bases
- ream, refuel and repair your aircraft
- disable ability for players to hit refly button and force them to fly with their head, instead with their ...
- manage your HUD scoring texts
- capture your home bases and specify planes, their loadouts and country options depending on the capturing army
- place home base on a moving carrier and take off from it
- more stuff...

Henschel Hs 129 - external & cockpit

We are close to finish the cockpit and external model upgrade for this interesting plane. In order to be able to model the cockpit as accurate as possible, one of our member was fortunate enough to spend 6 hours with Mr. Martin Mednis and his Hs 129 cockpit restoration. We have been able to receive first hand data and make several important improvements to our cockpit model. We would like to thank Mr. Mednis for sharing his Hs 129 treasures with us.

Update de 18/02:

Novas opções no QMB, que agora tem 2 telas a mais:

Note -embaixo a direita - que voce pode definir a ordem em que os aviões aparecerão na lista. E criar, no Custom1 e 2 a lista de seus aviões preferidos.

Por exemplo, só aviões americanos e japoneses do PTO.

Sera possível adicional novos mapas no QMB

Note tambem o botão para o FMB na tela do QMB.

Podera setar 32 voos no QMB.

A tela do STATs sera mais detalhada.

Novidades: Novos limites estruturais para a força G.

Atualmente os aviões usam um limite de +13G, o que só causa problemas
para aviões com profundor sensivel como P-51, pois ao ultrapassar este
fator as asas se vão.

O TD vai implementar dois fatores G no lugar deste limite unico, nos quais
a carga de bombas e quantidade de combustivel terão influência.
Por exemplo, o avião X com armamento padrão e 100% de combustível tera
estes limites em +8G/+12G, porem se acrescentar 2 bombas de 500 lbs, estes
limites serão reduzidos para +5G/+8G.

O primeiro destes limites (+8G) se excedido significa que a estrutura do avião sera danificada, diminuindo sua performance. O segundo limite, se excedido, resultara em falha catastrofica da extrutura, ex. asas quebrando...

Exemplo de limitações de velocidade e G máximos impostas ao P-51 (IRL) em função da carga de combustível e bombas.

A pilotagem tera que ser mais cuidadosa, a quantidade de combustivel devera
receber maior cuidado, pois muito limita a performance e pouco te deixara a pé...

Isso tera particular influência sobre bombardeiros, eles não serão mais capazes de
fazer manobras acrobaticas básicas. Isso se aplica inclusive aos aviões da IA.

Os "pilotos"que estão testando estas mudanças:

Tester 1
14,500hrs flying Command Ratings on the following types
PA28,C172,Winjeel, Macchi MB326,MirageIII,F18,Boeing 767,Boeing 747-400,A330,A380
*Was Fighter Combat Instructor on Mirage III and F18 , now A380 Captain)

Tester 2
7000hrs rated on the following types:
CAP-10,C182,PA28,C152,BE76,Boeing 737,Boeing 767,A380
(Has full aerobatic rating now First Officer on A380)

Tester 3
Unknown number of hours very knowledgeable Private pilot.

Tester 4
Unknown number of hours (at least over 20 000). Former Military test pilot with
ratings on more aircraft than one could ever dream of, and a Graduate of the Empire
test pilots School (ETPS).

E agora sera possivel criar 4 perfis de ajustes de sensibilidade para o josytick, para diferentes aviões/estilo
de pilotagem.

E, para os fans do Pacífico, o mapa Slot sera oficialmente adicionado.

Atualização semanal do Patch 4.10 (11.03.2010):

Novidade - múltiplos tripulantes humanos nos bombardeiros em servers de dogfight (WiP).

Pontes mais resistentes.

Atualmente um "near miss" de 100 metros destroi uma ponte, isso sera corrigido. Portanto melhore a pontaria.

Pontes ferroviarias e rodoviarias serão mais resistentes, e praticamente imunes a bombas
abaixo da SC250 Kg - tal como na RL (WiP).

As pontes tambem receberão um skin adequado para o inverno.

Assim até quem não tem "aquele" joystick pode se divertir e ser muito útil numa missão.

A única "novidade" sobre o 4.10 é que não vira mais com o Coelho da Páscoa.
